OCS blown film lines are modular and customizable. They make the highest quality films for optical defect (e.g. gel) analysis, and accommodate the use of other measurements, such as haze, thickness gaging, gloss, and others.
- They incorporate state of the art film making techniques typically found only on large production systems, such as laser width measurement of the lay flat for automatic bubble inflation control. They come in a variety of extruder and die sizes for various outputs.
- OCS cast film lines have become the leading laboratory standard of major resin producers worldwide, due to the quality German engineered design and construction and ability to produce the absolute best films for QC analysis purposes. They incorporate features not found in other systems, such as the most rugged and accurate drive systems, the most wear resistant extruders, the most evenly cooled or heated chill roll surfaces, nip rollers without the use of pneumatic pinch points, and film tension control for the most consistent film thickness, just to name a few.
- Designed to provide the most reproducible film for gel analysis, they also by default produce the best film for other analyses, such as FTIR analysis for density and additives. Easily cleaned and maintained, these systems provide years of trouble-free service.
- OCS camera based film analyzers for optical defects, such as gels, are the most widely used analyzers in the world. Major resin producers the world over have standardized on OCS film defect analyzers for consistent company-wide results. OCS film analyzers employ the most powerful cameras in the industry, and they utilize the most sophisticated software for image analysis and defect classification.
- The OCS Model PS-25C is a camera based pellet analyzer used to detect black specks and other color contaminations in pellets, at up to 25Kg/hour. It is used around the world in hundreds of applications, by all types of resin producers and converters for quality control of resin production and use. State of the art camera hardware and image analysis software make it the leading QC pellet contamination analyzer in the industry. Besides use in the QC laboratory, it is finding increasing use in on-line systems for continuous analysis of pellet production slipstreams.
- The OCS Model PT-2C powder analyzer uses the latest camera technology and software for finding defects in powder, including black specks and other color contaminations, such as partial oxidation. It is often used with an automatic multi-hopper feed system, where multiple samples can be pre-loaded for continuous sequential analysis.
- The OCS Model PSSD analyzer provides classification of pellets in up to 10 size classes and numerous shapes. Defects such as tails, doubles, smears, dust, etc. can be determined and quantified. As with all OCS analyzers, unique calibrations for different resin products can be set up for analysis and reporting. An optional weighing system is available for reporting results on a unit weight basis.
- The OCS Model PA-66 Pellet Analyzer combines the PS-25C contamination analyzer with the PSSD shapes and size distribution analyzer into one integrated system. Results can be reported by unit weight, with the optional outlet scale. An optional Hunter color analyzer can also be provided to measure background overall pellet color according to popular color scales, such as LAB.
- The OCS Model PS-400C pellet analyzer is the big brother to the original PS-25C pellet analyzer for analysis of black specks and other color contaminations in larger streams. It has a nominal throughput of 400 Kg/hour, but with some resins can do up to 800+ Kg/hour. It includes an optional sorter for removal of defective pellets. It has been specifically engineered to do clear pellets especially well, which have plagued other commercially available systems with false detections due to shadows and internal reflections.
- The OCS Model OP5 online rheometer with touch panel control for melt flow rate and melt index has been selected by a major global resin producer as the "most effective technology". This system eliminates the complicated calibrations required in other production extruder mounted rheometers. The inherent design of the system more closely approximates the ASTM MFR and MI methods than any other manufacturer and is, therefore, easy to calibrate and maintain. It can be used for both pellets and powders and can double as an automatic composite sample collector.
- With the Model FSP-600 wide web film and sheet analyzer, OCS has become a world leader in defect analysis for the converting industry. Films and sheets of any widths and speeds can be accommodated by using multiple camera stations reporting to one integrated Human-Machine Interface (HMI) computer. OCS has the fastest camera technologies available, and their software is unmatched for image analysis and defect classification.
